Pullman Public Schools School Board

Our school board is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can achieve academic excellence and personal growth in a safe and supportive setting.

As elected representatives of our community, we are committed to making informed decisions that shape the future of our schools. Our responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
  • Superintendent Supervision: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Superintendent to ensure the district's strategic goals are met.
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.

As elected representatives of the Pullman community, we are honored to serve and make decisions that reflect the values, priorities, and needs of our district. Our core responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development: Establishing policies that uphold educational excellence, equity, and student well-being.

  • Budget Oversight: Managing resources responsibly to ensure effective support for student learning and district operations.

  • Superintendent Evaluation & Support: Partnering with the Superintendent to align leadership and strategy with district goals.

  • Curriculum & Instruction: Reviewing and approving curriculum that is rigorous, inclusive, and aligned with student success.

  • Facilities Planning: Ensuring our schools are safe, modern, and well-maintained learning spaces for all students and staff.

  • Community Involvement: Encouraging open communication and collaboration with students, families, staff, and community members.

Participate

All are welcome to attend school board meetings either virtually or in person!

  • In Person: Meetings are held at the Pullman High SChool (510 NW Greyhound Way) in the Board-Community Room. The front doors will be open to the public at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the School Board meeting.
  • Virtually: If you are interested in observing a board meeting without providing comment or attending in person, all meetings are live streamed for the viewing public at the Pullman Public Schools YouTube Channel.
