Login ID's
Once a student is enrolled in the district, student Login ID’s are crafted from Skyward automatically.
ID’s follow a standard pattern:
Student name is John Shannon. John’s login ID would be: shannjoh@psd267.org.
**In situations where another student has a same or similar name, the second student to enroll would get a ‘2’ added to the end of the ID. Ex: shannjoh2@psd267.org.
If you are unsure what your login ID is, please contact the front office of your school or email info@psd267.org
Why does my Chromebook display a message saying it is locked?
At the end of each school year, the IT department will lock district Chromebooks by displaying a sign nothing to return the Chromebook to the district.
When are the Chromebooks unlocked?
At the start of a new school year when Chromebooks have been issued out.
We just received a Chromebook, turned it on at home, and it is still locked. How do we unlock it?
Parents/guardians may find the Chromebook is still locked when they first turn it on. This is because it hasn’t been updated from our Google Admin Center servers. To unlock the Chromebook, it must be connected to the internet in order for it to update. You should be able to logon to Wi-Fi from the login screen in the bottom right corner. Once you are connected to Wi-Fi, your Chromebook will be able to connect to the server and receive the unlock and update commands.
All Chromebooks work the same way. Here is a link to setting up a Chromebook to your home Wi-Fi.
Printing is not as simple as it seems. Printers require drivers to be installed and Chromebooks run a "Chromium" operating system and are mostly static... only updating once in a while. On the other hand, printers change constantly, as do their drivers, so compatibility becomes an issue.
At the district level, we can't support home printing directly due to liabilities and because we simply don't have the manpower. However, if you have a printer and it happens to be a Chromium supported printer and it happens to be on the same network and your home network is setup correctly... it should work.

My student uses an email address to log into Google but GMAIL says there is no email account?
Many of the district policies related to internet access are connected to COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act) which applies to children under 13 years of age. Limited access to email is one of the approaches we use to support COPPA.

Pullman Public Schools employs a service called Securly to filter student’s online activity. Securly provides strong protection against unwanted or unexpected content often found on the internet.
All Chromebooks owned by the district are forced to pass through the Securly portal. When Chromebooks connect to the internet, whether at home or at school, Securly provides protection.
BARK is a utility program linked to the district Google for Education domain.
At Its core, BARK is an algorithm that scans the domain for key words and tries to build insight into the text, email or chat. If that meaning is found to imply self-harm, cyber bullying or cross other policy boundaries, the content is flagged for review.
Once a week, a report is presented to district leadership. However, in the event of any hint of self-harm, key leadership are notified right away.
This service is designed to provide early warning when students might be heading into trouble.
